Blinken urges Serbia to reach agreement on normalising relations with Kosovo

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, through a letter, has congratulated Serbia's people on citizenship day and has also encouraged this state to reach agreements on normalising relations with Kosovo.

Blinken, who is currently staying for a visit to Albania, asks Serbia to implement its pledges, and to maintain the EU dialogue on the Kosovo issue.

“We support your goal of joining the EU and expect co-operation with Serbia's new government and European partners, who will help Serbia meet the criteria for membership”.

“The US encourages Serbia to fulfil its obligations and continue the EU-launched dialogue to reach a comprehensive agreement on normalisation with Kosovo”, says Blicken's message, broadcast the Voice of America (decade in Serbian) reports Telegraph
