The US Department of Defence has announced regarding the meeting it had in Pristina, Alton Buland, chief director for European and NATO Policy at the Office of the Defence Secretary, under bilateral US-Kosovo defence consultations.
Buland was on a visit to Pristina on February 22nd and 23rd, and has met with Kosovo Defence Minister Ejup Macedonci, writes Telegrafi.
In notification The US Department of Defence's goal of bilateral defence consultations was to discuss the priorities of bilateral co-operation, support for implementing the 10-year transition plan of KSF to transform the KSF into a professional, multiethnic, operational protection force, inter-interethnic, with NATO.
In the U.S. Department of Defence communiqué, it is known that leaders shared information about projects aimed at improving KSF skills and interoperability, future military commitments, the State Partnership Programme with the Iowa National Guard and membership in international organisations.
Chief Director for European and NATO Policy at the Office of Defence Secretary Alton Buland welcomed Kosovo for the achievements the KSF has made in the second phase of the comprehensive transition Plan and thanked Minister Macedonia for the KSF's contribution to Ukraine, including providing training and expertise to the damage.
The leaders reaffirmed the importance of respecting higher standards of democratic values, rule of law and human rights in all aspects of bilateral defence relations.
