The Central Bank of Kosovo, with the aim of providing simple and understandable supplementary information for Kosovo citizens, has launched a free line for 0800 222-55.
The report reportedly is dedicated to citizens from the Serb community living in the Republic of Kosovo, and they need direct and concrete information.
“It does not prohibit or limit access to euro bank accounts to licensed banks; It does not limit the exchange activity of any currency being conducted by bank or non-bank financial institutions licensed by the CEC; There is no ban on transfers from any country; nor does it prohibit possession and savings in any non-euro currency (including dinar)”, says the report.
According to the communiqué, all individuals have access to bank accounts and can accept tools in their Euro accounts.
Citizens who still have no account can open one to each bank, according to the CQC Equipment for access to Basic Services accounts, which for vulnerable groups and social schemes there are no open and no maintenance fees, from January 1st, 2024x0>, the communiqué says.
According to the announcement only in the four northern municipalities, four bank branches operate, three micro-financial (concilative) institutions, as well as 15 non-bank financial institutions for payment and exchange. The number of financial branch offices and offices operating in that area is on the rise, as financial involvement is the BEC's objective.
