Ismaili explained that regulation in question does not prohibit or limit access to the Euro bank accounts to licensed banks, nor does it limit the exchange activity of any currency being carried out by the financial or non-bank institutions licensed by the BEC.
Therefore, all individuals have access to bank accounts and can accept tools in their Euro accounts through various legal channels”, he said.
So all citizens who already have a Euro bank account in any bank licensed in Kosovo can use the same to accept the means from any state. While, those who do not yet have an account can open one to each bank, according to the BQK's Access to Accounting for Base Services, which for vulnerable groups and social schemes has no open or maintenance fee, on January 1st, 20,248x1>, the first BQK noted.
Meanwhile, Rassic praised the BEC's role and its commitment, expressing readiness to co-operate within its capacity, aimed at boosting financial involvement and expanding opportunities for financial access to all communities.
The first BQC announced to Minister Rassic that only in the four northern municipalities operate four bank branches, three micro-financial (concilative) institutions, as well as 15 non-bank financial institutions for payment and exchange.
The number of branches and financial institutions operating in that area is on the rise, as financial involvement is the BQK's target”, Ismaili stressed.
Governor Ismaili and Minister Raspic express readiness to expand co-operation in the function of information as fully as possible, and have agreed to facilitate successfully implementing local legislation requirements.
On 1 February, the new Central Bank regulation -- which as the only currency for payment -- has entered into force, thus preventing the use of the dinar in Kosovo.
This has sparked numerous reactions to the Serb community and the international factor.
