Private Sector Workers' Union Chairman Yusuf Azemi has indicated that 120 technical school workers in Pristina have joined the strike with a demand for raise, Online Economics reports.
Following his visit to the former high school “Naim Fraser” in Pristina, Azemi said all schools have entered the strike, excluding the school “Dardania”. To the latter, he is optimistic that he will join the strike tomorrow.
With the exception of the school... ..Dardania... who I think will be joining during the day, all schools are on strike and actually this strike is due to pressure from workers. If our demands are not realised, on the basis of the decision the workers brought this week will be negotiated, if there are no negotiations then next week all workers will free up their jobs and the other workers will behave. It's a discrimination of such a kind, since in the same country in the same school they work and get someone 230 euros and someone gets 270 euros, the same workers get 405 euros, budgets but there's no honesty. It seems to me that the Pristina Community as bad as it is it seems to be better”, Azemi said.
And if they fail to meet their demands, Azemi has warned the departure of all workers from capital schools.
We're actually negotiating one year and we can't get in the way we should, and there's a time that we're not going to work for others, we're going to do our job, but we want our payment, if not really from next week these workers aren't going to be here, and let the Commission find more workers”, Azemi said, saying the strike is being respected 100 percent.
“The number of workers who have entered the strike) is about 120. I said, "Dardania" during the day entered because it has been a good non-coordination in that regard, and the strike is being respected 100 percent under the deal that has become”.
E Nazmi Veselin, a technical worker at the school “Naim Fraser”, considers the salary he receives unacceptable.
Because I'm on strike, we've been forced without our will, because our salary is too low, 270 is nothing, we're looking for the equal of our colleagues who are under municipal management, that's all we're looking for. Every time we've been told September, October, we're going to be watching, and for that reason without our desire, we're sorry about the students because the students are pushing it, but it has imposed on us”, he said.
There is similar demand by Nadire Buzuk, who maintains this school.
I'm a school worker, Naim Frashire. We're on strike because of our salary because 270 euros aren't coming up, despite our expenses. We've asked every time, protests, strikes but there's nothing behind them. No country has any worse than the”, Buzuku said.
Azem continued in the high school “Forest Bogdani”.
