The ambassador of the United States of America to Kosovo, Jeffrey Havenier, has again been seen on Thursday in the Government building. He has not indicated what government official he met with, since Prime Minister Albin Kurti traveled to the United States last night, reports Online Economy.
For Kurt's visit to the United States, he announced today, the prime minister's office. Deputy Prime Minister Donika Gervala has also traveled with Kurt.
Hovnier is insisting on delaying the implementation of the new Kosovo Central Bank regulation over the Serbian dinar. Even Horvenier, along with the QUINT ambassadors, had held meetings with Prime Minister Kurti, who had been asked to delay.
All of the diplomatic choir that spoke on the matter expressed very similar concerns about its implementation. I can only repeat what the United States hopes to see. What we hope to see is a suspension in the implementation of this regulation until more” is done, Houvenier said after meeting with Kurti.
Likewise, he had declared that the issue of the BQKA regulation is the moment where partnership is required from Kosovo and the government led by Kurti. Also, he has followed, if the Kurti government doesn't want partnership, then he has warned that this will affect reports with the United States.
“We would hope that the Government would be partners with us, these are issues where partnership is required from Kosovo, and the Government of Kosovo if it were a partner in such matters would reinforce our partnership. But, if the Kosovo government does not want partnership on these issues, it will have an impact on the quality of our partnership”, Havenier has said.
