Albania-Italy Social Security Recognition Agreement Finalised

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani will pay an official visit to Italy tomorrow, during which he will sign the agreement with counterpart Taani.

The agreement comes as an obligation and a right to Albanian, Italian and Italian-Albanian citizens, who have worked hard for 30 years and contributed to the economy and social progress of both our countries.

Minister Hasani's official agenda in Italy starts with a meeting tomorrow at 11:00, with European Union Policy Commission President Giulio Terzi di Sant '%agata.

At 4:30 a.m., the meeting of foreign ministers of the group “Ministers of the Western Balkans” and the Western Balkans MPJs will take place, at the invitation of Zv. Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation of Italy Antonio Tayan.

While on February 6th, at 10:00, Hasani will meet Italian counterpart Antonio Tayyan, with whom he will sign the social security agreement. At 11 o'clock, the two ministers will issue a statement to the media.

While the meeting with European Affairs Commission President Alessandro Giglio Vigna will take place at 14:30.

Minister Hasani's visit to Italy marks a deepening commitment to expanding co-operation with Italy in areas of mutual interest, in line with the Strategic Partnership Declaration.

The aim is to reconfirm Italy's support, both at a bilateral level now with a wide range of co-operation in areas of common interest, and in multilateral interest, especially in European integration, by reconfirming Italy's support for an accelerated integration process by 2030, as Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Taani has declared.
