AKI chief chief Petrit Ajeti, allegedly engaged in irregular processes within the institution

When the new Kosovo Intelligence Agency chief, Petit Ajeti, took office, a number of officials from AKI were fired, under the impression that Ajeti was willing to establish order and law within this sensitive Kosovo institution.

But, Albanian Post, has understood from sources that in addition to irregularities with the latest employment contests where the militants of the Vetevendosje Movement are being accommodated, for which the opposition is expected to form parliamentary commission for investigation, Ajeti is allowing other irregularities.

One of them is a suspicious break of the contract for an official and its employment in a private institution, the process that took place within the day.

AKI worker A., Sylejman at the order of Ajet himself was enabled by the departure procedure within days and was later employed on the same day at a marketing company in Pristina.

The AP has tried to contact the company to understand the role of the fugitive in strange circumstances from AKI, but contact has been possible.

According to information, Sylejmani has taken the lead in this company.

Because AKI is a sensitive institution, no details of Sylejman's work can be published within this institution, but for The AP's resources within AKI have explained that carrying out day-to-day procedures and employment on the same day in the private sector is an entirely irregular and not ordinary process in AKI.

It has also been known from the same sources that the official has not been cut off on permanent contracts, but has been allowed to leave for a certain time, possibly returning to work within the institution again.

Petit Ajeti was named director of AKI on April 15th of 2021, replacing incumbent leader Vlora Hyseni, who was later appointed by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, director of the State Intelligence Service.

By the time Ayti was appointed in some media, news began to be released that he is doing cleaning off irregular employment in AKI.

At the time, it was also announced that former president Hashim Thaci's wife, Adil Behraj, was cut off.

Yeah, today my wife's contract is cut. I see it as a discriminating, low-level act and as political revenge against me”, Behramaj said then.

On the other hand, Ajet's appointment as the chief priest had come as a surprise when it was announced.

He had no preliminary experience in such a security sector.

Ajeti has work experience in various secondary capacities in the Kosovo Ministry of Defence as an official for co-ordinating foreign defence investments and taskeering the chief of the sector for Euro-Atlantic integration.

On the official website of AKI, in the chief chief's CV, it also says that “Ajeti has followed several international programmes within professional development in the field of Security”. /Albanian Post
