Nicholas Abbott, ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kosovo, has held a farewell meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi.
Abbot has made it clear to Biskmin that the United Kingdom stands for Kosovo Central Bank regulation (BQK) around the dinar. He has stressed that a transition period is needed.
This period to enable a full information campaign so there will be no interruptions for providing essential services.
“This afternoon I held my farewell meeting with Z. KM Faithful Bislimi. We discussed recent events, including the United Kingdom's view that implementing the new BQC regulation for cash operations requires a transitional period to enable a full information campaign and not allow any interruption in the delivery of basic services”, Abbott said.
