AAK's LDK calls the Government: Kosovo internal issues should be discussed in dialogue with Serbia

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) have requested from the Government that Kosovo's internal affairs should not be discussed in dialogue with Serbia, referring to the announcement that during the following days Kosovo and Serbia will discuss in Brussels regarding the new entry into force of Kosovo Central Bank's new regulation linking with the Serbian dinar, says Economy Online.

According to them, this Government is not once holding its word and that it is only doing populist actions and without co-ordination with the Allies.

LDK MP Driton Selmanaj has said that in any way Kosovo should not discuss the issue of the use of currency with Serbia, as, according to him, this issue is completely the internal issue of Kosovo defined even with the Constitutional mandate.

He has said the problem in this matter is the decision of what the Kosovo government is doing.

“Absolutely you should not go and discuss the matter. The issue of the use of waves is completely the internal issue of the Republic of Kosovo, and this issue is also determined with the constitutional mandate that our institutions have. The problem is that this or this Government is the way they are making the decisions, where they are sending us to Brussels once in the Security Council, the problem is not discussed so it is not the approach that should be followed in the process of dialogue with Serbia. We too have been dealing with the International Community in the past. We have not gone with Serbia to deal with internal issues of Kosovo's state organisation. With Serbia we have had talks to regulate the mutual and local Serb reports that always relate to the local context, but not to our internal organisation not to the fundamental elements of Kosovo's citizenship, so I'm saying that we are against it, and normally we are against the issue being closed to the negotiating level, and we are for deep context discussions with our ally and to inform them before any decision which affects the interests of local Serbs in Kosovo”, he has said.

Selmanaj has said that Kosovo should always have careful access and co-ordination with allies.

“There is no dare for any behaviour in the Republic of Kosovo as if it is a behavior against Kosovo Serbs, it cannot be understood that way because it is thus perceived from outside and then Kosovo is emerging into a defensive situation. Look after the decision on the dinar what happened as if the attack on Banjscan was balanced and that's the basic problem. Kosovo should always have careful access to co-ordination with our strategic allies. Serbia then continues to have the approach of destructive itself to the state of Kosovo, but for Kosovo, Kosovo's internal affairs, Kosovo must consistently discuss only with allies and those it guarantees. They have guaranteed you freedom, independence, but guaranteeing walking away until the complete consolidation of your citizenship of”, he said.

AAK MP Time Kadrijaj has said all actions of this Government that are extending sovereignty and integrity are populist actions that feed their voters, which, according to her, harms Kosovo and Kosovo's subjectivity in the international arena.

She has said that now, instead of dialogue on the final agreement, dialogue has turned into the dinar issue.

This government has not won all the actions it has made are short-term populist actions that feed the people and LVV voters by supporting this Government and its actions that it is extending sovereignty and integrity. On the other hand, reality is quite opposite because these are damaging Kosovo and Kosovo's subjectivity in the international arena. And now you see instead of dialogue on final agreements respecting sovereignty, integrity, where the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo is respected, the dialogue on the dinar issue is the same as the scenario of this Government for the license plates”, she has said.

Kadrijaj has said the current government is not working for Kosovo's benefit, but is working for the benefit of their party.

“This Government is not leadership, they are not working for the good of Kosovo, they are working for the benefit of their party, and they are taking population action in order to retain the votes and support they have from the population, I believe with all these actions. These scandals, with all these measures taken and actions that are not state at all, I think people have seen that this government as soon as it gets home is better for Kosovo. And what we've won is the only country that has been sanctioned after Russia, which has been sanctioned for the beginning of a war with Ukraine and Kosovo because of the action of Mr. Abin Kurti and the government of Albin Kurti, and what's the worst is to see how their behavior is in the United States and with EU countries”, she has said.
