AAK concerned about the consequences of the dinar decision: Kosovo cannot afford new sanctions

The international factor's warning of consequences for Kosovo due to the decision that removes the dinar from use through BEC regulation, for the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, is disturbing. MPs from this party's ranks, Time Kadrijaj, says Kosovo cannot afford new sanctions until it still remains under punitive measures [...]
In an interview for Kosova Press, it criticises the government for failing to co-ordinate with opposition parties, as well as with the international ally for decisions that are sensitive as it is to the dinar, while also talking about the Association of Serb majority municipalities and new elections in the country.
Hearing and having meetings with our allies are said to be Kosovo could then new sanctions, rather than having them. What is Kosovo capable of facing these sanctions? These are really helpful, since until we are under sanctions, Kosovo has lost millions of euros and support from EU funds. Now if it is burdened with new sanctions, I don't know where it's going”, Kadrijaj points out.
As MPs, Kadrijaj, on issues that are of interest to the country, Prime Minister Kurti must also co-ordinate with the opposition and international Aletats.
The Kurti then needs a approach of leadership and in such situations that are lasting and that are in the interest of Kosovo has had to have a reconciliation even with opposition party leaders and political parties at the country level, but also with our allies”, she adds.
Speaking to the Association of Serb-run municipalities, MP Kadrijaj says Prime Minister Kurti has consistently rejected him as in the opposition, now in power has accepted a draft with extreme competence.
“Kurti has accepted the agreement, has also accepted the draft Association, given that he has rejected the Association, saying that at the moment it comes to the government, no agreement signed in Brussels will undo it. He has promised that he will not engage in dialogue, he will not go to the table of discussion, and on the basis of all promises that have come to power he has broken them. On the issue of draft association, it is one of the worst drafts of all other drafts. Even the US has insisted on drafting a draft of Association from the Kosovo side and that it would have been related to the Constitution of Kosovo, while now we have a draft that is not good for Kosovo and that offers a third and has executive competency. All these actions, Kurt, led him to remain in the shadows of acceptance of the Association”, she says.
According to her, despite these government actions, the country needs new elections, but stresses that the opposition does not have the numbers for the collapse of the government. It adds that Prime Minister Kurti himself will lead the country to elections because of the unwillingness to implement association and other obligations taken within dialogue with Serbia.
“We have insisted that the sooner this government goes home is better for Kosovo. But you know that the opposition does not have 61 votes, and it is Kurt who can send the country to the polls. Looking at this pressure now and seeing what is being rejected of all the unconditional agreements and accepting the draft Association Project, Kurti will try that before starting to apply these agreements to send the country to the elections”, she concludes.
