Making his first comments on how he views the role of NATO's ally in post-conflict Syria, Trump praised what he described as Turkey's “large military force”, which he said “was not tired of war”, writes foreign media, records Telegrafi.
Since Assad's fall, Washington and Ankara have reportedly held talks to counter any revival of Islamic State militants in Syria.
Washington has held about 900 troops in eastern Syria as a defence against militants.

“Erdogan is someone I have a good relationship with... He built a very strong and powerful army”, Trump said further.
