Svechla says Serb List members involved in riots in the north

Kosovo Interior Minister Xhelal Svechla has said on Tuesday that the continuing battle of Kosovo authorities for the denial of sovereignty in the northern part of the country has exposed Serbia's aspirations for the territory of Kosovo, and that members of the Serbian List have been [...]
He has said that the lack of full extension of local institutions in the northern part of the past has enabled completely free ground for criminal groups and all sorts of illegal activities.
Minister Svechla has made these statements after presenting a report by the Institute for Security and Resilience P. REVENT, for security in the north, following attacks on the Zvecan Banjska last year, and on the Iber-Lepenc channel in Zubin Potok in November this year.
Kosovo blames Serbia for these attacks it considers terrorist, while Belgrade denies everything.
The Serbian List cannot say that it has not been involved in the attack on KFOR members, when assistants, drivers, bodyguards, Serbian List officials have been active part of the attack, have been identified, and now a portion of them are on the run”, Svechla has declared.
In May 2023, Serb protesters in Zvecan have clashed with members of the NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR, leaving more than 90 mission peacekeepers injured, several seriously injured. / REL/
