A child has lost his life and eight people have been injured as a result of a knife attack at an elementary school in Precko, Zagreb, Croatia. Among the wounded is a teacher and the assailant himself.
A medical emergency helicopter has landed in the school yard, while the injured -- mostly students -- were treated in several Zagreb hospitals.
Health Minister Irena Hrstic confirmed that one of the children injured during the attack has died, Croatian media reports “Dnevnik”.
The school attack has reportedly prompted many reactions from residents of this Croatian capital's neighbourhood.
According to images published by Croatian media, several ambulances and police cars are seen in the school yard, while students are evacuated.
