Special Prosecution: Test collection of Zubin Potok attack continues

The head of the Public Communication Office from Chief State Prosecutor Liridon Kozmaki told Rtv21 that two people are in custody due to suspicion of involvement in the attack.

I inform you that the case you have asked about is in the investigation phase, the collection and analysis of evidence in the Special Prosecutor. So far we have two people who are located in custody. At this stage of investigation this is all information that can be made public”, Kozmaki told Rtv21.

The defendants are suspected of criminal acts jeopardising constitutional order with the destruction or damage to public installations and equipment, carrying out terrorist work and illegal weapons. Kosovo Special Prosecutor (PSRK) had announced that concerning the November 29th terrorist attack on the <x1 water channel Iber-Lepencit”, were escorted to Officer 10 suspects. Of them, D.V., and D.M., were detained, where the first was assigned detention measures, while the second was released in regular procedure. On December 1, however, another suspect was detained. Similarly, the Special Prosecutor had announced that in the case of 29.11.2024 in the village of Varag of Zubin Potok municipality, respectively, in the section of the “Iber Lepenciʹ, that in 30.11.2024, the Kosovo Police, in co-ordination with Special Prosecutor by the Special Prosecutor has conducted several checks at different locations, where various weapons and other equipment have been found and seized. The European Union has called the November 29th terrorist attack in Zubin Potok.

While, Kosovo's government has told Rtv21 that investigations into the terrorist attack on critical infrastructure Iber Lepenc are under way by Kosovo institutions.

Government spokesman Perpare Kryeziu said that the investigation into the attack on Zubin Potok is in communication with the internationals as well.

We are in constant communication with our international partners. We welcome the support offered by them for full investigation into the November 29th attack. Our police have partnerships with Western democratic states and the investigations they make will certainly be assisted by them, but these are technical expertise issues”, Kryeziu said.
