Just a day ago, Prime Minister Albin Kurti warned that terrorist groups are planning further attacks on Kosovo during the weekend holidays, following him in the Iber-Lepenci channel.
But, the Kosovo Army is ready to respond to any threat. Thus claims Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia, who in an interview for A2 CNN, spoke of considerable empowerment of security forces.
According to him, the recently purchased sophisticated weapons from the US, Turkey, but Germany, have significantly increased capacities.
We've had a triple budget for the military during this mandate and we've managed to buy Bayraktar drones and other very important systems. Yavelin rockets are very important for tanks protection. We hope that we have since 202518x1>, Macedonia said.
According to the minister, <x0-feat Yavelin does not allow the penetrate of armoured vehicles and tanks within the” territory.
While stating that they will be holding to the pledge made in 2013 not to send the army north, Macedonia stressed that the matter would be considered in the future.
