The Special Appeal Court has stiffened the sentence for the former Lezha Mayor Fran Frokaj, condemning him to 2 years and 8 months in prison for abuse of office in connection with the loss of property in the area known as the “Rana of the drop of”.
Initially, the First Stairway Court had sentenced Frokain to 1 year and 4 months in prison, but after the appeal, Apel decided to add to the sentence.
Investigations into this case began in 2017, when the prosecution was denounced for the expulsion of 234 thousand and 548 square feet [234 sq m] of state land in the area of Hole Ran, Shengjin.
