Hykmete Bajrami: Kosovo's electricity distribution is privatisation at the time when Mimoza Kusari was minister

Bajrami through a Facebook post has recalled that the distribution of electricity in Kosovo has been privatised at the time when decision-makers and involved in the process has been Mimoza Kusari-Lila.
Among other things, LDKA deputy says the “that came to power to nationalise the distribution today play their lawyer at the expense of the hundreds of thousands of families that are today without power”.
So, to save its KESCO profit, they don't provide electricity from import, while to justify this they come out and say reductions are the result of overload in substations and lines. And surprisingly, we have not only heard of KESCO's excuses, but also of Minister Rizvanolli and COST chief, that is. Those who came to power to nationalize the distribution today play their lawyer at the expense of the hundreds of thousands of families that are today without power”writes Bajrami.

The ruling party has the responsibility why no electricity
The power distribution in Kosovo is privatisation at the time when the head of the LVV parliamentary group has been minister and deputy prime minister, hence decisionmakers and involved in the process; The LDK has been in opposition.
The LVV has had an electoral promise that once it comes to power, it has to rule the distribution.
Where are we today? Where's the ZRRE, which warrants the power supply?
In the last week many areas in Kosovo are facing reductions of up to 12 hours a day, while temperatures are low and due to “energy efficiency measures” the number of households using electricity for heating is greater than ever before. These families are freezing today.
The fact is that KESCO as a public supplier is obliged to supply consumers regularly with electricity. If local production isn't enough, K ESCO is obliged to provide electrical energy from import to cover consumer demand. Considering since April of this year Z. THE RR has assigned them KESCO of the allowed revenues, whenever KESCO imports energy reduces profits because the import price of MWH is four to five times higher than the price KESCO pays KEK for MWh.
So, to preserve its ECCO profit, it doesn't provide electricity from import, while to justify this, they go out and say reductions are the result of overload in substation and lines. And surprisingly, we have not only heard of KESCO's excuses, but also of Minister Rizvanolli and COST chief, that is. Those who came to power to nationalize the distribution today play their lawyer at the expense of the hundreds of thousands of families that are now without power.
These days I've talked to various experts, professionals who have maintained and still hold positions in energy sector institutions, and they claim the same thing that “reductions are being done to balance the lack of production and import of electricity due to increased demand. The reason the reductions are due to the burden is not entirely true. If it were due to burdens, reductions would be located in several overloaded substations, while reductions these days are in all settlements, mainly in rural areas in Ferizaj, Gjilan, Suhareka, Rahovec, Gjakova, Malisheva, Dragash, Fushe Kosovo etc.
The regular power supply usually affects the delivery, as several hours later cuts increase the load, as consumers lock up almost all electrical equipment after the supply returns, so the load increases on the substation lines.
Given the fact that temperatures are expected to drop away, with temperatures down, demand for electricity will increase further.
The contract that is due to economic development is completely inaccurate. The amvisni/commericica consumer report is 62%/38%.
The question is where is the ZERE these days? The GER is obliged by law to monitor the process and if it finds incorrigible to take measures under legislation.
Once again, I repeat KESCO as a public host is obliged to provide regular supplies to all citizens of the country, even from import, despite the imported energy price and if it does not do this KESCO makes legal violations for which it should be penalised.
What if with instructions stops the supply of electricity in certain regions, while specific regions are protected from reductions? Why is no one from the government looking for an account from KESCO?
