Dress: The investigative Commission found that textbooks were paid twice as expensive, more than 6m euros without addresses

Shemsedin Dresaj, deputy of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), as he spoke of the commission for textbooks, said they have faced a growing lack of quorum. He said that on 26 July violations and failures, which are in the commission's report, have been found, for which he said he has also been forwarded to the prosecutor. “Doublepout [...]
The double price for textbooks, over 6m euros, were without an address. It was found that a considerable portion of municipalities completed the school year, and students did not receive textbooks by the end of the year. THE document, with a lot of remarks,”, said among other things.
He has said the position should create conditions for the opposition to do its job, saying many investigative commissions have not been allowed to be formed.
The arrogance of the numbers does not allow this. We were badly offended at this mandate”, he said.
Dress said they were offended even because they are not aware of the opposition and that they were told to teach you how it becomes”. He added that even the position has not answered parliamentary questions.
“We have come to that situation of arrogance that they refuse to accept and give us answers in parliamentary questions, the position does not answer to the Kosovo Assembly”, he added.
Dressaj said one of the main objectives is promoting a pluralistic democracy, but that there have been deadlocks in this mandate and no support.
All of this, he said they were closed to another scandal, when the opposition was beginning to be boycotted on these commissions, saying they were kept without members of the opposition.
He said this draft was sent to the Chief Parliament and Prosecutor, according to recommendations by experts who have found procedural violations, saying there may be grounds for prosecution.
On the other hand, he added that most investigative commissions should be formed by the opposition, rather than positions, because if the majority is eligible for minority positions to have a proper treatment.
By contrast, the Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD) with the support of the US State Department, the Bureau for International Narcotics and Enforcement of Law (INL), on Wednesday, organised the discussion table on the case of publication of the report titled: “lack efficiency of parliamentary investigation (Muse of Will and Legal Problems)”. This activity is organised in the framework of “va Against Corruption 2024”, which is organised by the Civil Society Organisations Coalition (IKD, FOL, INPO) with the motto “Base Against Corruption”. /Betimy for Justice
