At least three people have lost their lives in a bus accident in Norway, where four others are in serious condition, writes Nettavisen.no.
The accident occurred in the Hadsel district, on the northwest coast of the country. The bus got off the road and ended up in Lake ãovanet.
According to reports, the bus was transporting 58 people at the time of the accident, while many, according to police, are foreign citizens.
The driver running the bus has been charged, but has been acquitted, says his lawyer, Stig Mortensen, writes dagbladet.no, broadcast The Express.
The driver is officially accused of violating the third section of the Road Traffic Act.
According to the lawyer, his client is an experienced bus driver and lives in Nordland.
He's in good shape physically and, given the conditions, he's fine. But it is evident that three people have lost their lives and that one of the dead has been a child. So the driver's thoughts go to the ones left behind”, says Mortensen.
Eleven people were sent to Nordlands because of the accident.
Now there's only one patient left in the hospital after the accident. The rest is written, says senior doctor Morten Andren Andresen Vorhaug for TV 2.
