Who is Ramush Ahmetaj?
He was born on September 5, 1974, in the mountainous village of Belle, of the Decani municipality, now lives in the Dubovik village of Bohric, but also in Pristina. Since the '90s has been engaged in the patriotic movements of time. His father, Smajl Demushi, and his other sons and grandchildren have been locked in the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army since the beginning. Ramush has been a member of KLA guerrilla groups. Special fighter in all the battles fought at ZOD. He contributed to Briggs' formation. 136 “Rugova”. Ramush Ahmetaj has been leader of the “Special Unit for Fast Intervention”. After the end of the war he was commander of the Order Police in Pec in the Interim Government. He was a senior in KPC. It has exercised several official functions in different governments and at Haradinaj Government. It's a lawyer. He's cofounder with brothers in business “Ahmetaj Group” and restaurant “Belle Resort” in Belle, businesses these very successful.
When AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj had nominated Ahmetaj for deputy, he had praised his figure as a skilled fighter and good businessman, who is derived from a native family, who have done much for Kosovo at different times, even in the latest liberation war.
Ramush Ahmetaj, on the case of running for deputy, has so far found strong support from citizens.
After his contribution to the liberation war together with his brothers, Ahmetaj for these 24 years has also contributed to the development and strengthening of the state.
Ramush Ahmetaj has confirmed that the time has now come for his contribution to politics, becoming an MP, making his voice sound to address many of the problems the citizens of this country have, especially the most vital layer that has contributed to the liberation of the country, war veterans, disabled, martyr families, not forgetting even the youth, that, according to him, without it, this country will have no future.
Ahmetaj says the AAK is the party of major changes, progress and turns, for Kosovo differently, for the winning Kosovo.
