This is the top position in the Central Election Commission, after that of the Director of the Office of Political Partys. Both will now be led by the same person.

As Periscopi learns, Buzhala has been appointed by consensus by members of the CEC because the former chief chief had passed the mandate and that position could not remain empty due to the Kosovo Assembly elections.
Periscopi has secured the decision signed by CEC leader Kreshnik Radoniqi.
“Z. Faithful Buzhala (Director of the Office for Recording, Certificate and Financial Control of Political Subjects) is appointed W. D Director of the CEC Secretariat, until the selection of CEC Secretariat Director, but no longer than the deadline set with Article 35 paragraph 3 of Law No. 08/L-197, for public officials”, says the decision signed at 24.09,2024.

Article, mentioned in the decision, points out that public official cannot be appointed as a task officer over six months. When the position cannot be met within the six-month term, this deadline could last much longer for another six months.
According to this estimate, Buzhala will stand as W. D at least by the end of March 2025, that is, until the end of the Kosovo Assembly elections.
In 12,12.22, Buzhala was appointed director of the Office for the Register, Certificate and Financial Control of Political Subjects in 2022, following the recruiting process.
The media had reported that CEC leader Radoniqi had ignored the British Embassy's recommendations. The British had monitored the interview process, and no candidate had, according to them, met the conditions for appointment to this position.
According to the British, no candidate has achieved 70% or more of the assessment, which can be considered to be named (according to the position of the Bulgarian Partner).
The “Candidates that have reached 70% or more are found to be named”, reportedly in the announcement of the implementation partner committed by the British to overseeing this competition. / P ERISCOPI/
