Zelensky: Ukraine was hit with over 900 bombs within a week

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on foreign allies for more assistance to strengthen air defence, after a week that, according to him, the state has faced over 900 bombings. “Mbrame, Russia has terrorised Ukraine with over 50 drone attacks, and over the week it has launched more than 900 bombs, [...]

The <x0m>Mbrame, Russia has terrorised Ukraine with over 50 drone attacks, and over the week it has launched more than 900 bombs, about 30 rockets and fears in various regions of Ukraine”, he has said.

According to Zelensky, <x0 civil and critical infrastructure” is mostly targeted.

The “all these attacks would be impossible if we had enough support from the world in some respects: long-range capacity for our security, really effective sanctions for Russia's ability to import key materials for fear and missile production, and political decisions that could harm Russia's will to continue this”, Zelensky has said.

He said that “Ukraine deserves the same security as that of our partners in the free world”, and has published on the X platform known as Twitter some images of destruction in various parts of Ukraine.

Ukraine has long sought from the West green light to use the weapons it sends to attack deeper in Russia, but something like that has not been allowed.

Russia has repeatedly threatened that if the West allows Ukraine to use long-range weapons to attack, then it does not rule out the possibility of using nuclear weapons.

The previous day, the Pentagon has released new military assistance to Ukraine worth $425 million.

This announcement was made just days before holding presidential elections in the United States, which is of great importance to the continuation of American aid to Ukraine.

The war in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.

Russian President Vladimir Putin calls war “special military operation” to demilitarise Ukraine.

The West has responded to Russia, striking the economy of this state with severe sanctions.

As a result of the war, thousands have died, and millions of others have been displaced from their homes. / REL/
