In the early hours of the morning of October 31st, Kosovo's <x0 power plant A” had an incident, with firearms used. Three people, still unknown, had physically attacked one of the guards, causing bodily injury.
The case was reported by Kosovo Police in the 24-hour report, but without showing that it had happened in KEK.
The report only disclosed that the victim had been sent to the Kosovo Clinical and University Centre for medical treatment, as well as that a shell had been found at the scene.
“FATHER USE / TRUPOR Obilic 31.10,2024 The Kosovo male complainer has reported that three unknown suspects have fired guns and physically attacked him, causing bodily injuries. The victim was sent to KKUK for medical treatment, while at the scene a shell was found and confiscated. The prosecutor has been notified about the case. The case under investigation”, said the report.
From that day, the thermal power plant “Kosovo A” is being preserved by Kosovo Police as well.
In a response to Gazeta Express, the Police Intelligence Office has said that the establishment of security measures with police personnel has been made based on joint assessment with the Kosovo Energy Corporation.
“Kosovo police, of course, have established security measures with police personnel, always based on its mandate to exercise police authorisation and security establishments, from the 3110.2024 date, given the common assessment of security between KEK and the police and the recent case taken at the TCA, where a physical guard employee was attacked by strangers at his work site<x0, is said to be in response.
Police members will still provide this object, though it is not known until.
Kosovo's “Police will continue to provide security in order to create secure conditions and environments in the general space of the Kosovo Energy Corporation and its monitoring assets”, it is said further in response.
On this issue, the paper has also contacted the Kosovo Energy Corporation to take a stand, but those questions concerning the case have referred to Kosovo Police.
“As to this issue, please look to the relevant institutions, so to Kosovo Police”, spokesman Skender Bucolli has declared.
Otherwise, this power plant had been a target for thieves in 2022. In May of that year, an armed robbery was committed, with two persons stealing electric cables.

Another theft occurred in 2021, where the suspect had been arrested in the faghgarza.
