Weather Today: Heavy snow and rain clouds, strong winds up to 100 km perh

Rainfalls will be in the form of rain because there is a penetration of warm air measures from the Mediterranean, which will bring rise in temperatures, Kosovo reports.

During the afternoon hours the powerful front will reach, which will bring heavy rainfall and snow, locally accompanied by lightning slides. Thus, they will initially be in the form of rain, while after crossing the front, they are expected to turn into snow.

As a result of heavy rainfall, there may also be floods locally, especially in the western and southwest areas.

Snowfalls are expected to extend further into the evening and will still be more focused on the Kosovo Plains, while in some parts of Dukagjin it will be more problematic, yet the opportunity for snow will not be ruled out even there.

The wind will blow from the south and southwest direction, while with the arrival of the cold front it will shift from the north direction, which from time to time is expected to be extremely powerful, at a speed of 2090 km/h, and in the mountainous areas and over 100km perh.

The temperatures will first mark rising, while with the arrival of the cold front during the afternoon and until the evening, they will experience rapid descent. Minimals will be moving from -3 to 0 °C, while the maximum of 9 to 14 °C.”
