Professor Daniel Serwer of the University” Johns Hopkins” has expressed concern about the impact Donald Trump's victory might have on American politics towards the Balkans.
Analyzing what contributed to these election results and Trump's convincing victory, Daniel Cerwer, professor at Johns Hopkins University, says it has influenced several factors, and one of them is certainly frustration with the economy, especially the inflation rate.
Cerwer, who was invited to Al Jazeera Balkans News, also spoke of changes in US foreign policy that could follow Trump's victory.
I expect Trump to offer even more unconditional support to Israel. But I think the first most dramatic change will be in Ukraine, where he will try to give a part of Ukraine to force them to stop the war. He has made that known during the pre-election campaign and will probably succeed in this”, says Cerwer.
“has implications for the Balkans, because divisions in Ukraine will be a precedent for divisions in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he adds.
