The former United States envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue could take a key position in the administration of President-elect Donald Trump. Initially, his name was spoken of as Secretary of State, but is now being considered for a new post Trump is planning to create.

“News AgencyReuters” reports calling to sources that Trump is considering placing Green as a special envoy for the Russian war, reports Express.

Currently, there is no special emissary dedicated only to resolving the Russia-Ukrainian conflict, and Trump seems to be planning to create it as position.

It is not yet known whether it will have such a role, but according to the four sources referred to in Reuters, it is strongly considering the establishment of this post.

The Reuters report recalls how Green has played a role in the negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia, as the US special envoy.

 “Green's supporters stress that he has had a long diplomatic career and has a deep knowledge of European affairs. In addition to serving as ambassador to Germany, Grenelli was also a special presidential envoy for peace negotiations in Serbia and Kosovo”, the report said.

Trump's office has not responded if Yerenelli is to be appointed to this post. Even Green himself didn't comment.

The trumpet has pledged during the campaign to end the war quickly, though it has not indicated how it will do so.

Grenelli, who served as ambassador to Germany and was a task leader of the National Intelligence Director during Trump's first term, would play a key role in the president's efforts chosen to stop the war if elected to the post.
