Threatened by murder Vehbi Kaitazi, the citizen admits guilt in court

The accused Driton Dobruna has been convicted Friday of having filed with journalist Vehbi Katazi.

At the initial review session, Dobruna has pleaded guilty to having the owner of the portal executed via social media “Paparaci”.

“Fajtor, yes”, has declared Dobruna on Friday, at the session attended by the injured Cateazi and prosecutor Paulin Pashku, reports the “Justice Voting”.

The injured Cajtazi has backed the state prosecutor's statement and has demanded that, on the occasion of his sentence, teaching all those who tend to prevent and attack journalists.

Cateazi has said the defendant had planned in detail how he would commit the criminal act.

Over the past 20 years as a journalist, I have received various threats, including physical attacks, but I've rarely been tempted to read something more sad, more planning in detail how someone prepares for a criminal offense, among other things, says he will sell his house to do the criminal work, so to burn me with gasoline”, Katazi said.

Meanwhile, in his Fb account, he has his house for sale, so he's declared selling his house. I don't have any other way to see it, except for a detailed planning to carry out this work, so I ask the court, which on the grounds of declaring the sentence that journalists in Kosovo are constantly attacked, constantly threatened, stumbled in their work, you have to teach all those who have such inclinations not to interfere with our work”, Cateazi said at the session.

The defendant Dobruna is a lawyer until he said he didn't take a job in his profession until he gets innocence.

I promise that the injured one has no danger from me”, Dobruna has declared.

According to the indictment, Dobruna, among other things, had written to Caitazi that: “will paint gasoline, we will both meet, and you and I will meet together in hell”

Dobruna was arrested after reporting the row until she was assigned the detention measure on October 11, 2024.

Meanwhile, the AGK had called for a response to the justice organs for Dobrun and all those who threaten journalists.
