PDK parliamentary group chief Abelard Tahiri has said that since the deployment of sanctions from the EU, the joint gathering of the Government of Kosovo and North Macedonia is Kosovo's biggest event on the outside plain.
Tahiri writes that despite this event being welcome, the very idea that Kosovo cannot push any diplomatic agenda forward, in addition to a meeting with a neighbouring state, shows much about the isolation we are involved in.

On June 28, 2023, the European Union announced the Government of Kosovo for imposing sanctions either, if we would call them a little slower, “measures”. Since that period, the only EU tools spent in Kosovo are salaries for their staff, while other commitments are in “standby”.
The inability to use EU pre-membership funds as a move has been coupled in parallel with an even more serious move: Kosovo's non-include as an actor and factor in important regional and international developments.
Today, the joint meeting of the two governments of Kosovo and North Macedonia is expected to take place. Since the sanctions were imposed, this is Kosovo's biggest event on the outer plain. Despite this event is welcome, the very idea that Kosovo cannot push any diplomatic agenda forward, in addition to a meeting with a neighbouring state, shows much about the isolation we are involved in.
Can you do more? Can it get better? Of course I do. There is no doubt that the Ma mire will take place after February 9th 2025.
