JATO Dinamics reports that in July BMW has passed Tesla for the first time on the European electric car market.
The German brand delivered 14,869 new electric vehicles to Europe last month, 308 more than its American rival.
Sales of electric vehicles in Europe dropped by 6 percent year-on-year, which market analyst Yato Dinamics attributed to the government's lack of incentives and customer concerns about the value of resusciting used vehicles.
The most sold electric vehicle in Europe last month was the Y Model, followed by Volvo EXI30 and Volkswagen ID.4.
Otherwise, compared to the same month last year, sales of Model Y and Model X have decreased by 17 percent and 16 percent.
In all, the most sold model on the European market in July 2024 was Dacia Sandero with 22,398 units sold.
