Stano ends his mandate as spokesman: Lajcak is emissar until January, to that post member states decide

EU spokesman Peter Stano has spoken at his latest conference today, since his mandate ends Saturday. Stano has talked about the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and the mandate of the special emissary, Miroslav Lajcak.

Stano has said Lajcak's mandate is by 31 January and that everything he can say about the issue of the term of the special emissary is that member states decide on the issue.

“The EU Special Representative's mandate for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, lasts until January and our mandate will be completed soon this Saturday. It is not up to me to talk about this or to comment on what will happen next. I can only remind you that when it comes to dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, the decision on the mandate of each Special Representative is in the hands of member states and they must decide on this”, Stano has said.
