Special Court Condemns Vangush Dacon Prison by 2 Years and 8 Months

The Special Court Against Corruption Crime (GJKKO) has sentenced the former mayor of Durres Vangjush Dako to 2 years and 8 months in prison. The first case concerns abuse conducted with permission to build a palace in Durres, including forged documents and the dawning of the permit was made after the construction of the building was completed that was different on floors from what was originally planned.
While the second case concerns research conducted by the Durres municipality concerning the mall in the coastal town, where miscalculation in the state budget has caused a damage of hundreds of thousands of euros. Although it was previously recorded by KLSH, the Durres municipality had not taken steps.
Dako's defence lawyers and 3 other defendants today presented final conclusions before the court.
At last session the SPAK read the final word on the matter, seeking the guilty statement of the 4 defendants, among whom for the former mayor of Durres Vanjush Dako, seeking his conviction for abuse of office, committed in 2 cases and sentenced to 4 years in prison. But due to the cut trial, Dako takes advantage of a 1/3 of the sentence, and the measures demanded by the SPAK is a two-year and eight-month prison sentence as guilty of the work of abuse of office in two cases.
