On Monday Ferizaj was shocked by a serious case.
A man stabbed four young women among them.
The director of the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian Organization, Isaac Sverter, has also reacted.
Squire in his reaction called for a dawning of purpose after this crime.
The authorities correctly qualify this act. Every life has value, and the purpose behind this crime must be whitened and punished respectively. Ferizaj's municipality chairman confirmed that the attacker was arrested after the attacks, but it is essential that his motives be investigated in detail, given the clear issue we face when the random “ ” victims belong to a single ethnic group, we need to ask why”, Svilier said.
He doubts that this event is ethnically advanced.
The last <x0th Incident in Ferizaj, where two minor girls and two men from the Roma communities, Ashkali and Egypt were brutally attacked with knives, have shaken our society. This act of violence cannot and should not be tolerated. Moreover, his true nature should not be relatable. According to the first reports, the attacker attacked passersby in the case, but all victims belong to these minority communities. Such a model suggests something more profound and much more disturbing: an ethnicly motivated crime driven by hatred”, he said.
This is not the first crime of hatred in our society aimed at the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities. For such a small country, we are filled with many incidents motivated by ethnic prejudice and deep intolerance. History has shown that Roma and other communities have been kept marginalised, held down under degrading conditions to preserve social exploitation systems. It's amazing that this still appears today when communities are used as explosives of anger and hatred. In a democratic, modern society like Kosovo, not every citizen feels secure, appreciated and respected”, Skyer stressed.
