He has told Serbia Radio Television (RTS) that the consequences have been great because the concrete shelter has been extremely heavy.
As a result of this incident, which took place on November 1st, 14 people have died.
The causes of the collapse of the shelter are still unknown.
Dacic has said that five people will be interviewed during the day regarding the case, and that the previous day 26 other people were interviewed, to find out who is responsible for what happened.
Among those interviewed are workers of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, led by Goran Vesic.
The building of the main railway station in Novi Sad was opened in July 2024, after three years of reconstruction.
The Serbian railway institution has said on the day of the incident that the concrete shelter that has collapsed “has not been rebuilt and has not been part of the renovation”.
However, experts claim that even that part has been subject to reconstruction.
Construction efforts were carried out by a Chinese consortium.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has vowed on Friday there will be justice and has sought severe penalties for those responsible. /Radio Europe Free
