Kosovo's government has announced that the Security Council has approved additional measures to secure objects and critical services.

These measures imply increasing oversight of bridges, trafostations, antennas, lakes, and canals.

At an extraordinary meeting held after the explosion in Zubin Potok, the government has shown what has been discussed.

In the early hours of this morning, beginning at 01:30, under the leadership of Republika Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, an extraordinary meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Kosovo was held. This meeting was called after the third attack in the last 72 hours, which this time targeted the country's critical infrastructure water supply and electricity production system. The first indicators suggest that this next attack is orchestrated by the Serbian state, which has capacities for such a criminal and terrorist attack. Elements of terrorist organisations “Civil Protection” of “North Brigade” and chief criminal Milan Radojciq under the correction of President and Government of Serbia plan and exercise in Serbia for such professional attacks”, it has been said in the Government's announcement, providing further details.

““also highlighted the vital connection to the attacks of Hungarian aggression in Ukraine on energy capacities this week, leaving over a million Ukrainian households without electricity at just the end of winter. During the meeting, Council members discussed emergency measures that have been taken and are under way to ease the consequences of the attack and ensure the security of critical infrastructure in the country. Concrete steps have been taken to restore the situation to normal by ensuring citizens that supply of water and electricity will be adjusted as soon as” is said in the announcement.

At the end of the announcement, measures have been shown to be taken.

Moreover, the Security Council has approved additional measures to strengthen security around critical facilities and services such as bridges, trafostations, antennas, lakes, channels, etc. Kosovo police and the Kosovo Security Force will be activated on the ground for that purpose. Also intensified inter-institutional and international co-operation to prevent similar attacks in the future” is said in the Government's announcement.
