PDK seeks Peci's dismissal, Pacolli and launching investigation into 100 thousand euros scandal

Democratic Party of Kosovo headship member Arben Mustafa, at a news conference, has called for the dismissal of Victory MP Pacolli from the position of Parliamentary Commission for Agriculture and the dismissal of Agriculture Minister Faton Peci, and for him to launch criminal investigations to verify the circumstances if there are [...]
Mustafa has said that the discovery of the grant's profit scandal in the value of about 100,000 euros by the brother of the Vetvendosje Movement deputy Pacolli is only a testimony of how the highest state officials of this government are exploiting and misusing public institutions to benefit them and their close relatives from Kosovo taxpayers' money.
This scandal is not random at all because Victory Pacolli is the head of the Parliamentary Commission for Agriculture, to which Agriculture Minister Faton Peci reports. As it was now confirmed, MP Pacolli's brother, his business, had founded after applying for the project and only four days before signing the contract, which raises major doubts about the assembly and orchestrating of the benefit of this project, for reasons they should be whitened by the institutions of justice”, Mustafa said.
He has said that after the discovery of this scandal, Minister Faton Peci would have to report to the Parliamentary Commission for Agriculture, but because he has accrued the close financial interests of the family of this Victory Commission Chairman Pacolli, it already has no credibility to invite Minister Peci to report because of the circumstances of the conflict of interest.
Therefore, we ask for Pacolli's dismissal from the position of chairman of this commission, as we consider that this post has been used in order to exercise influence, which has led to the profit of the grant worth about 100,000 euros from her brother. On the other hand, for Minister Peci, neither resignation nor dismissal is enough. He calls for criminal investigations to be conducted to verify the circumstances if the same had influenced one MP's brother to benefit about 100,000 euros, and if this benefit is the result of the official dependence report that this minister has with the commission Pacolli is leading to a win, said Mustafa.
He has said the scandal deepens even more, when, on the same deadline for grants, support has been denied to Mrs. Fahrije Hoti, as one of Krusha's heroic women.
Furthermore, PDK chairmanship member has spoken of the haste of 2025 budget approval without giving MPs the previous time to propose their referenda.
“is currently creating doubt that in the 2025 budget, such benefits have been devised for their people, despite the fact that this power will not be there to implement the future budget”, he said.
In the end, Arben Mustafa has said that now that when we are divided by even a few months of elections, this power can also flee the responsibility to render an account in the Kosovo Parliament, but cannot escape accountability to citizens on February 9th, when they will also receive the verdict deserved for these successive abuses.
