The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met at a working dinner last night, KFOR Commander Major General Enrico Bardoni, writes Periscopi.
As said in the Presidency communique at the meeting, security issues in the country were discussed.
“President Osmani expressed gratitude for KFOR, which has increased the number of troops which are supporting Kosovo institutions on patrol of the border with Serbia. The president reaffirmed the risks posed by Serbia's destabilising tactics, especially because of Serbia's lack of responsibility, both for the act of September 2023 aggression and for attacks on KFOR on May 2023<18x1>, the communiqué said.
” President Osmani and Commander Bardonini confirmed their common commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all citizens, acknowledging that co-operation and mutual trust are the basis for lasting peace and stability”.
