Nationalism is like bad raki, tomorrow brings headaches that in Serbia is lasting for 30 years, Albin Kurti knows that

So Jankovic, the opposition activist in Belgrade, has been saying about the INC network's upcoming debate under the Bridge, Civil Dialogue Pristina- Belgrade, which with other guests from Pristina, the Novi Sad Gracanica, has answered questions surrounding that “rely what is the policy of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin [...]

The guests in this debate are:

Nenad Rassic Minister for Community Minority in the Government of Kosovo.

I am part of the Kurti government because, among other things, it is binding under the Constitution of Kosovo that representatives of the minority communities, namely, the Kosovo Serbs, be part of any government, so that even this Kurti government and therefore I as part of this government is more than normal for us to engage together with colleagues in every way to respect the rights guaranteed by law and conditions for each citizen.

We are all aware that with the decision of Serbian politicians and Belgrade directives to boycott, we have too much room to act.

Now all agree that the attack on Banjska was a turning point that followed actions involving rule of order and law. I don't want to mention all the surveys, but only one, who published it. U n NMIC during the summer, shows that most citizens in these four northern municipalities have responded that they personally (subsequently) feel more secure now than in the past. So from 38% has grown to 46, % of northern citizens who claim that they individually feel more secure, a difference of 8 %, for which experts claim is a significant change in these types of situations. But since from the individual perspective there is positive improvement, from the global and regional perspective there is a kind of isolation or closure.

So there are conflicting opinions, and maybe they're normal when it's known that these changes are happening after 25 years of living in an area of “gri” and all of a sudden there's full respect for law and order. And of course, any dramatic change is expected by rigid citizens. So on one side, citizens feel freer and safer but on the other side in collective or community terms, citizens feel uncomfortable with the great presence of police and special forces there.”

Burim Ramadani political analyst, has previously held different political positions as well as chief inspector of AKI (Kosovon Intelligent Agency)

The “is true that there has been movement in terms of rule of law and greater presence of the Kosovo police in the four northern municipalities, but this is not enough because there must be political action to cover the institutional gaps left over by the boycott of Kosovo Serb citizens of election processes there. Furthermore, these actions the government must do in co-ordination with allies because past actions without co-ordination have caused Kosovo to pay high costs in relations with our international friends who continue to be critical and to impose penalties on the government's uncoordinated actions, Kurti..”

Zdravko Jankovic HINA Green Left Front, Belgrade-based Opposition Movement.

By the time I met Albin Kurt, in 1998 I was not impressed by being a nationalist. I was also impressed by the fact that he had led student demonstrations on October 1, 1997, when respect for the education agreement reached under the mediation of St. Eugene by the Vatican in 1996 for the re-entry of Albanian students to schools and their university facilities, Mr. Kurti as other student leaders who were thus protesting Milosevic were brutally beaten by Serbian police. Since my first meeting in the spring of 1998 with Albin Kurti, he left me the impression of a very polite person who is in the right place at the right time.

Today, I don't really like what I see in Prime Minister Kurti for these very reasons. Based on the nationalist political charter may be tempting.

Nationalism is like bad rakia. First the good docks, but the next day you wake up with a very painful head. I don't know if you raise your sovereignty in the north with this Mr. Nationalism. Kurti, but we know that from the moment we like Serbia started drinking nationalism, headaches and pain after 30 years. A world Serbia decided that nationalism would solve issues and that it would blow you to the head. This Albin knows very wellThe opposition activist from the Green Left Front in Belgrade, Zdravko jankovic, has indicated.

Mihailo Brkic é deputy chairman of HINA Serbia Center / Srbija Centar was the leader of the Serbian Coalition Against Violence in the local elections in Vojvodina.

“in our region, nationalism is a good instrument for electoral victories so as such, as a universal approach of the region I see Mr. Kurti in northern Kosovo. But I'm not sure that's in the best interests of what is being tried to achieve or even extend Kosovo's independence. But this may be highly counterproductive to Kosovo itself because with these actions it is already seen as a nationalist Albanian politician, not a leader dealing with Kosovo as a state, whose prime minister is therefore much better to pay more attention to this matter”.
