Prime Minister Edi Rama also commented on the killing of 14-year-old Martin Cani and the protest held the following day. He accused the opposition of using the event politically, disrespecting even the victim.
Rama: European Albanians encountered disparaging reactions when showing where they came from, it was a bad-run and worse-off country in the eyes of European politicians, debt-ridden governments, street routes. A child was murdered tragicly, as in America when bullets produce massacres in schools or here in Britain, while in Albania they swell with a criminal rush the media channels and politics, no one asks about the victim, nor about the need of the community to find ways and understand together what everyone's role is, but who can try to attract opinion into those channels by mixing any kind of talk of theories and protests against the government to turn the victim into a ball of politics.
