Prime Minister Albin Kurti participated last night in welcoming farewell to Bulgaria's ambassador to Kosovo, Hristo Goodyev.
He called Bulgaria a sincere friend and strategic partner.
Over the years that we worked together, with your dedication, we have managed to advance and deepen bilateral relations between our two states”, the prime minister was quoted as saying.
Kurti's office said in a media communiqué that during the mandate of Ambassador Gudyev, five visits of Bulgarian officials, including Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev, and 21 visits of Kosovo officials to Bulgaria, including Kurti's meeting with Bulgaria's prime minister, Dimitar Glavchev and Bulgaria's president, Rumen Radev, have been organised.
“Texa cited the agreements reached between the two countries, the prime minister said Bulgaria has been a backup to us every time we requested it, so we sincerely thank the relevant authorities for their continued dedication and testimony to Kosovo. In particular, he thanked Bulgarian soldiers and officers who have served and serve in Kosovo under KFOR”, the prime minister's office says.
“Ambassador Gudyev is finishing his diplomatic mission, but the friends he made here will last forever. We will miss it, and I'm sure Kosovo will be missed. So I hope that he will be a regular guest in our country, which he may consider to be his second home. In this case, I have to thank not only His Honor for everything he has done but through him, the place he represented in Kosovo, Kurti said.
