Former Kosovo Security Force Commander Kadri Kastrati has commented on Prime Minister Kurti's recent statement that the political elite in Belgrade has not given up on the Greater Serbia project.
Kastrati said that although Serbia does not give up on large Serbia, Prime Minister Kurti's statements are for domestic political consumption to win votes.
According to him, the security situation in Kosovo is stable.
“I agree that Serbia has not quit and given up on major Serbia because its chauvinist policy has shown in the past and shows now as well as plans for the future this Serbian “Bota” project. But the security situation in Kosovo is stable because police are doing their job properly ... and are well managing the situation in the north. and KFOR is present there with added forces... and these statements thought they were campaign times are statements of domestic political consumption to win votes or hide no jobs that have been done over the years, but I, as military, think the situation is stable”, Kastrati told RTV21.
Prime Minister Kurti for the Swiss newspaper NNZ has said Serbia wants revenge and that we should be prepared.
“Asply, Vuciq is simply cheating the West. The elite that dominates the country has never given up on the Greater Serbia project. It's just called something different now, that's the Serbian world. That means uniting all Serbs in one place. That would imply the dissolution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo”, Kurti has said.
