KFOR provides security support after attack on Zubin-Potok water pipeline

KFOR has reacted after last night's attack on Iber-Lepenci Canal, saying it strongly condemns it and added it is important that facts be confirmed and that those who carried out the attack are held accountable and brought to justice, writes Periscope.

“NATO, KFOR, strongly condemns the attack on Zubin Potok's water pipeline, which had a serious impact on water supply and electricity to northern Kosovo. It is important to confirm the facts and hold the authors accountable and bring to justice”, KFOR has said.

KFOR said it has provided security in the country and surrounding areas, and has also helped with logistical annihilation of explosive means and support for Kosovo institutions.

KFOR Offers Security Support After Attack on Water Pipeline in Zubin Potok

Pristina, November 30, 2024 NATO-led KFOR mission strongly condemns the attack on Zubin Potok's water pipeline, which had a serious impact on water supply and electricity to northern Kosovo.

It is important that facts be confirmed and responsible be held accountable and brought to justice.

KFOR personnel since last night have provided security in the water pipeline and in surrounding areas; furthermore, KFOR has offered to provide logistics, explosive and engineering support to institutions in Kosovo.

Meanwhile, KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially.

KFOR works in close co-ordination with Kosovo Police and EULEX (European Union for Law Rule in Kosovo) in their respective roles as security responseors.
