Newly elected American President Donald Trump is continuing to select people in his administration's key posts.
He has chosen the name of John Ratcliffe as the possible new director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
I expect John to be the first person to serve in both the highest positions of the nation's Intelligence. He will be a fearless fighter for the constitutional rights of all Americans, while guaranteeing the highest levels of national security and peace...”, Trump wrote.
Yes, who? Is John Ratcliffe?
Ratcliffe is known for strong ties to the Albanian community in the US.
In 2016, Ratcliffe had been present and had handled the case in the quality of special guests at “The Albanian International Economic Forum” in New York, organised by the Albanian-American network.

In several other meetings, there are photographs of Ratcliffet with Pandeli Majko, Albania's former minister for Diaspora and with Fatmir Mediu, former defence minister in Albania.

Meetings have also had officials from Kosovo, including Kosovo Assembly deputies.

Congresswoman Ratcliffe is a close friend to Albanian businessmen in America. This is evidenced by photos posted on social networks by these businessmen.
In President Trump's first term, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Chairman Ramush Haradinaj had welcomed the election of John Ratcliffe at the helm of American Intelligence.
Kosovo is lucky to have the United States on its side and on the security level belongs to the world America leads. The partnership already built in the field of security is determined to strengthen it. Ratcliffe is well informed of Kosovo and the knowledge of developments in our region”, Haradinaj had written at the time. /Telegraph
