Ratcliffe is known for strong ties to the Albanian community in the US.

In 2016, Ratcliffe had been present and had handled the case in the quality of special guests at “The Albanian International Economic Forum” in New York, organised by the Albanian-American network.

In several other meetings, there are photographs of Ratcliffet with Pandeli Majko, Albania's former minister for Diaspora and with Fatmir Mediu, former defence minister in Albania.

Meetings have also had officials from Kosovo, including Kosovo Assembly deputies.

Congresswoman Ratcliffe is a close friend to Albanian businessmen in America. This is evidenced by photos posted on social networks by these businessmen.
