Ismet Bahhitari continues custody by the Special

The Judicial Chamber in The Hague Specialised Chambers has decided to continue detention of Ismet Bahitari on November 26th.

DPS spokesman Michael Doyle has said the detention has been continued because it is found that there is still a danger of obstructing the special work process.

On November 26th, in the Januzi case and others, the Judicial Chamber I established the continuation of Ismet Bahiari's detention, because it found that risks still exist that it would prevent the performance of the process or perform other criminal acts, and that these risks could be significantly reduced only through the framework for monitoring communications that is implemented in the DHSC's” detention facility.

“According to the legal framework of the DHSK, judges should consider whether the detention is still legitimate every two months”, the report says.

Sabit Januzi and Ismet Bahitari were arrested on October 5th 2023 in Kosovo and transferred to the DHSK detention facility on October 6, 2023. At their first appearance on October 9, 2023, as Mr. Januzi and Mr. Bahhitari pleaded innocent about all of Aktakuza's points.

Haxhi Shala was arrested on December 11th 2023 in Kosovo and transferred to the DHSK detention facility on December 12th 2023.
