Hoti: Fourth year in a row with losses in capital investments

MP and former Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has sharply criticised the government for making too low capital investments during the first nine-month period of 2017, reports Blic newspaper. According to him, only 36% of projected capital investments have been realised so far, stressing that only 325m euros have been spent from 913m euros planned in the budget.
Hoti has called this situation a “total punishment”, accusing the ministers of lack of compensation and laziness. He also stressed the prime minister's failure to oversee ministers' work.
In particular, Hoti has listed several ministries that have shown extremely low realisation of capital investments:
Ministry of Industry: 4%
Ministry of Justice: 4%
Ministry of Finance: 7%
Ministry of Agriculture: 7%
Ministry of Education: 16%
Economy Ministry: 16%
Health Ministry: 19%
Interior Ministry: 20%
Ministry of Culture: 34%
One of the most important examples of failure, according to Hoti, is the Ministry of Agriculture, which has spent only 3.8m euros on the projected amount and has not implemented any agricultural land irrigation project.
“This is the fourth year missing, where capital investments are neglected and economic development is blocked,” concluded, demanding responsibility for the situation and an immediate review of government priorities.
