Haxhiu said that with further activism against these phenomena, it is optimistic that Kosovo will be a state where women and girls are treated with dignity and that they do not try to show off domestic violence cases.
Let me thank you for the solidarity and activism you've had especially during these last days, where a television attempt is to normalize violence, minimize it, as was the last case we're all witnesses to. I think that when we have such cases when someone tries to minimize violence and normalise violence, our union is extremely important, so I'm very optimistic that Kosovo will be a state where women and girls are treated dignifiedly and where it doesn't try to be a spectacle of domestic violence cases. I believe that's an answer to any bully. We agree that rapists can be rehabilitated, but this cannot happen in such a form”, Haxhiu said at the table on the topic of discussion “The abuse of the violent cycle”.
Atilla Cardesh's introduction to the Big Brother, charged by his former spouse with violence, sparked numerous reactions. The women's protection organization demanded that he leave and not be given space on television.
