German MP: After elections in Kosovo, it must be made clear that agreements reached must be met

German Bundestag MP Thomas Hacker has stated that the resumption of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia should take place only after the new government is elected in Kosovo.

The “in Pristina will have elections and by then can't be done much. This is part of the democratic system, but after the elections and with the new commission, the process must be reinforced and made clear that the agreements reached must be met and implemented by both sides.

As far as failure to implement the agreement on normalising relations between the parties, Hacker says patience will be over soon.

The “objectively after elections in Kosovo, and after the new government's formation, patience will end for both sides. Serbia cannot say we will sign the agreement, later means we do not sign it and then it means the agreement is against the Constitution. Both sides disagree with the European Union and the International Community, should respect what they agreed on, Hacker said in an interview for Top Channel.
