Kosovo police on Friday have announced that they have stepped up security measures at the country level, including the north, where there were two incidents in Zvecan.
According to the announcement, security growth is taking place to prevent incidents of various natures.
With the previous planning, there will be an increase in police activities to provide more security across the country, for all citizens indiscriminately”, the report says.
Operational police planning, says the report, will focus on increasing police presence on the ground, “implementing more patrols in more critical areas, more checkpoints and increased co-operation with citizens”.
“Police by operational and intelligent actions will aim to maintain public order and tranquillity, prevent criminal acts and investigate and bring to justice all those who dare to accept security, law and constitutional order”, the announcement follows.
The purpose of these operations, police have said it will be citizens' safety, their security of public and institutional property.
On the other hand, police have invited citizens for co-operation in information relevant to increased security throughout the country.
