Recica through a post in his Facebook account said President Progress Rama is taking steps leading to the bankruptcy of the public company “Cleaning”.
“With the publication for the contracting of private waste collection companies at 6 pounds for the value of 16.5m euros the Pristina municipality is taking a clear step towards the marginalisation of the Regional Public Company KRM “Cleaning,” directly jeopardising its sustainability. This company, with 900 employees at the regional level, out of which 300 in Pristina, is an important pillar of public services for citizens. With this move, it is attempting to spend 16.5m euros in service only with 0 capital investments, which implies that the capital after the contract is expired would return to zero in terms of waste treatment”, has written, among other things, Recica.

We strongly oppose the Pristina Community's actions that undermine the future of the KR “Cleaning”

The Communist decisions appear to be aimed at defaulting the KRC cleanup and privatising essential services for citizens, undermining principles of transparent and effective waste management.
We call on Mayor for Progress Rama to stop these irresponsible actions that endanger hundreds of jobs and turn the focus on protecting public interest. Also, we seek a fair approach to supporting the KR “Cleaning”, as a regional public company with more than 67 years of existence and which has served with dedication for years.
