The European Union has not confirmed the meeting at the level of chief negotiators between Kosovo and Serbia for December.
From the EU they said that for these meetings they will report “when it is appropriate”
We don't have anything to add to this phase, in line with the practice so far, we will announce every meeting as is appropriate” -- told by the EU for Express.
On the other hand, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi's adviser, Klisman Kadiu, has told the media yesterday that the dialogue is expected to continue on 17 December.
For the upcoming meeting, he had said that preparations are also being made, and the EU's minister for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, in a post on November 24th on Facebook where he often makes a summary of his weekly work. However, he did not give the date.
I engaged in important discussions on dialogue and the way forward. These conversations are critical in shaping the work my team is doing as we prepare for the upcoming meeting of chief negotiators in December”, Lajcak wrote.
The last meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi and Serbian chief negotiator Petar Petkov was held on 24 October. But even this meeting had ended without results.
Lajcak had later said that the focus on this meeting was “in advancing normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, especially through implementation of the 2023 Road Agreement towards Normalisation”
“although we did not take steps forward on this, I am optimistic about some progress achieved on several other key issues, which we will pursue in the coming weeks”, Lajcak had said.
